An improved smooth-skinned hybrid, it produces long, firm, tapering roots of superb flavour and texture. Bred for resistance to the very latest strains of disease, including canker, and therefore, ideal for organic growing.  Contains vitamin C and potassium.  Can be roasted, boiled or mashed.  Requres a long growing season.  cover and keep moist (parsnips are slow germinators).  Can be seeded directly into deeply worked soil for optimum root growth.  Soil must be deeply tilled and fertile, sandy loam with good organic matter content (PH 5-7)  Do not apply mamure in the year of growing;  Parsnips like moderate amounts of nitogen and higher amounts of Phosphate.    NOTE: Quality is enhanced by cooler growing temperatures in late summer.  Best root quality is obtained after a couple of late frosts.
